Drunk Man:Can't a good soul find it in them to sit with an old seadog like me? Oh lad, lad, you, you! Yes. Go on. Come, come!
Edward:What stirs you, besides the grog in your belly?
Drunk Man:Freedom! What is Freedom, truly? I took Freedom to be the Liberty to act as one pleased, but when you live to be as old as me, you'll realize that there are more important things. To live only for oneself and no other is not true Freedom, but a Cage with unseen Bars.
Edward:Aye, spoken True. I had thought the meaning of Freedom was to chase my own Desires. Now, I know that the greatest Liberty comes from a Life of Purpose.
Edward:If Freedom means choosing what to make of one's Life, then surely the Choice should be to live as one pleases. If I am in a Cage, then let it be one made of Gold!
Edward:There is some Truth in your words, aye. I am not sure anymore what Freedom means to me.
Drunk Man:Thank you, Lad, for listening to an old Seadog blather. Here. I got no use for it no more.
