The Perfect Marriage was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore da Firenze's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.[1]
Description[edit | edit source]
Ezio Auditore was asked by a man in Venice to recover a stolen letter and bring it back to the owner.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
- Contact: Thief! Get that bastard!
Ezio located the thief and eliminated him, retrieving the letter. He could then read its contents.
- Giorgio,
Everything is going exactly as we planned. My husband doesn't suspect. He's kept me locked away, but I've persevered. I've found you, my savior! If you're true to the passionate words whispered into my ears, you'll keep your promise to take me away from my husband.
You know what you must do, steel yourself for it and do not waver. My husband will be at home tonight. He goes to sleep after the clock tower tolls midnight. Make sure to come in through the window and bring one of your daggers from the barracks. We need to make sure to do this silently.
I've asked my husband to deliver this letter to you. You're simply an unknown guard to him, the idiot will never know that he's aiding in our scheme. We'll be so happy together with that ignorant old man out of the way.
With great love,
Lucia[2]
Ezio returned with the letter.
- Contact: Well done. I knew I could count on you!
Outcome[edit | edit source]
Ezio killed the thief and successfully recovered the letter.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- On reading the letter after obtaining it, it is revealed that the contact's wife Lucia was having an affair with an Agile guard named Giorgio – who happened to be the thief himself – and that by intervening, Ezio had scuppered their plan and unknowingly prevented the adulterous pair's plans to murder the contact.
