Heyreddin was a member of the Ottoman Brotherhood of Assassins during the early 16th century, fighting as a lieutenant under Yusuf Tazim and later Dogan.

  • Heyreddin is an anglicization of the Arabic name خير الدين (Khayr al-Din), meaning "goodness/best of religion".
