I've only heard British people call the Continentals Bluecoats and the French Whitecoats, and I've only heard Americans call the British Redcoats. The Bluecoats are oficially called Continentals or Continental Infantry, while the British are officially known as Regulars or British Regulars. Soldiers of any nationality that were just the "Regular soldiers" are known as Line Infantry.
