It can still be good if they don't use it in a cliche way so it won't be "I've seen this all before"

Cliche Example: Connor has no clue Washington is a Templar until....BAM!! Washington does something every secret evil villain does: He explains he's a Templar and tries to fight Connor, then gets a blade to the face.

Non Cliche Example: Connor has a sneaking suspicion he's a Templar and makes a move to assassinate him until Washington proves he's not a Templar by doing something a Templar wouldn't like freeing a bunch of people under Templar rule. Connor has no idea that Washington lied to him. Connor ends up getting fucked over (don't know how...) Despite Connor's best efforts, Washington eludes assassination.

Twists can still be good even if everyone has guessed them. As long as they are not cliche and the outcomes of the twist happening is not easily guessed then it should be all fine.
