In one of the emails you find in the lost archive Vidic mentions that they were making breakthroughs in animus energy consumption and that a portable version was near. Considering it was a mail in "2010" maybe one has been developed by now. Just to drive the plot though, if they advance in that temple they couldn't possibly drag that chair along.... TitanHelios
