Avaldsnes

Avaldsnes is a village situated on the island of Karmøy in Rogaland, Norway.

In 872, Avaldsnes was taken over by Vikings from the Kjotve's clan, one of whom, Rikiwulf, held several members of the Raven Clan captive. After escaping from her captors, the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir infiltrated the village, killing Rikiwulf in a standoff and freed her crew.[1]
