Well, I thought all AC games had great soundtracks. At first I haven't even noticed the lack of Jesper Kyd in ACR and that's saying something.

"Balfe's ACR tracks were annoyingly similar." Well, those were just rearrangements of one theme. After all, it's a theme song. Just like Access the Animus in AC1. Only back then it was just one track (a really long one though) that appeared multiple times. Twelve, I think. That was good but Balfe took time to make various versions of that theme so they would fit the situation better. A he also experimented with more original music during cutscenes. And I thought it was damn good.
