Augustin Grisier was an French Assassin of African heritage, member of the French Brotherhood, as well as the fencing master in the Café Théâtre owned by Arno Dorian.

One day, a servant girl of the café-théatre saw Augustin and Charlotte Gouze together and reported it to the intendant, who told her to stay out of their business.

Trivia

  • This Assassin seems to be based upon the real life and famous French fencing master, Augustin Grisier (1791 - 1865), who was white and wasn't historicaly known to have had a metis family member. One of his good friends, the writer Alexandre Dumas wrote a novel inspired on his life, The Fencing Master in 1840.
