I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet but I beleive Ubisoft said that there would be small hints towards the next Assassins Creed game in the new DLC Freedom Cry in Assassins Creed Black Flag.

At the end of Assassins Creed Embers, Ezio gives a small box to the Chinese Assassin, it was never said what was in the box, only that is was something to only use in time of need, a last resort; possibly a peice of Eden.

( Spolier Alert! ) 

At the end of Freedom Cry Adewale gives a box to a girl ( I forgot her name ). This box just so happens to look like the box Ezio gave to the Chinese Assassin in Assassins Creed Embers, I woulden't be surprised if it is the same box. In Freedom Cry if my memory serves correctly the Templars are after this box but I don't think it ever says why only that it is of use to them. Before I get side tracked with theorys I must say, this is why I beleive the next Assassins Creed, or a future  Assassins Creed will be in China. Because of the small box. This of course is just a theory of where the Assassins Creed series might turn.
