Well, in that case, in my opinion, the free running and combat in AC3 are the best so far. Having some knowledge of parkour myself, I can say that Connor climbs and jumps much more naturaly than Ezio or Altair.

Also, "ruin" is a heavy word, it could feel strange and out of place, but you can't be sure. Best to have AC1, a good but flawed game, in mind for an idea like this.
