Just got back from a bio exam in time for the conference. From a gamer's standpoint, I can see why you may feel it's not up to the mark, and even feel a bit betrayed or something. If you look at it from a marketing perspective though, they handled it excellently.
With the emphasis being on movies, sports and entertainment in general, they're effectively quadrupling their target audience; taking a leaf out of Nintendo's book and appealing to the casuals and the non-gamers as well. They know their main audience is still the gamers and they've got E3 coming up, so they can appeal to us then. Right now, by expanding their audience by advertising it as the one-stop for all entertainment, they're ensuring the console's financial success (one of the reasons the Wii sold so well despite being comparatively mediocre spec-wise was due to its marketing as something "for the whole family").
