Really? There were plenty of hints in the actions of the other members. And wait, do you mean to say Templar leaders don't plan like that and have no intelligence? Where have you been the last 4 main games? Don't forget that Al Mualim was the "MENTOR" of the Assassins and also the most powerful Templar at the time(due to his greed).
