This would probably be the hardest thing for the writers to decide on, as there are so many factors influencing their choice (such as, like you said, the extreme nationalism in Europe). Pesonally, I'd go for a liberal British Assassin, but there are so many ideas that could work. I'll just leave it up to the readers to imagine how everything could be woven together.
