Some of the more influential figures (I'm not going to spoil whom) are Templars, while a few are allied with the Assassins.

Ok, I'll spoil one of them: the Marquis de Lafayette, the same guy as in AC III, is still affiliated with the Assassins. He had a historical impact in both the American and French Revolution, so I thought I would let that return.
