your theory is interesting but you have one glaringly obvious misinterpretation. in the speech by Juno stating: "Here is a safe place. Eternal. To store objects. Words. Wisdom. But not life. We cannot evade his grasp. Not forever." when referring to "him" she was adding a male possessive term to the force of "time". This correctly infers that TWCB were not immortal but through the use of their "sixth sense" and the technology they had developed they were able to stretch out their own lifespans and the life of the technology they used as-well. (which explains why items such as these temples and the PE's still function at all; considering they are at least thousands of years old)it seems that in the next game Desmond will be unable to stop whatever cataclysm is going to destroy the earth, (considering how many times "You will know only when it is too late" and phrases like it are repeated by Juno and even 16) all inhabitants and everything created will be destroyed. but from the line "Here is a safe place. Eternal. To store objects. Words. Wisdom. But not life. Almost did we have the means." Desmond and the descendant of Eve will have to finish this "life preserver/ark"; allow the earth to be roasted; and then start over as the humans did after the first doomsday.
