so you're saying that Altair just used Cyprus as a decoy? so when the templars took off to cyprus after reading the codex, they just stumbled on another apple? and that apple just happends to be in the same holder as Altairs apple? this is almost bigger failure then the one about Ezio and Altair aren't related.
