I dont know it I'd wanna go "backward" in time with Desmond and the Animus. So far, the series have move in a mostly chronological order. From the Crusades to the renaissance, time has moved forward. To go back to the Crusades would seem off to me. Plus, all the gameplay mechanics, like crossbow and flying machine, would need to be removed to make sense and avoid anachronisms.
