we brotherhood wasnt a stand alone game, it did carry on the storyline, i tihnk this will be again carrying on the storyline, when desmond is put back into the animus and becuase he is in shock it is difficult to sinch with any of the ancestors except altair, remember we still have lots to know about altair so ubisoft can think of a reason easily to why he shuold return to altair's memories. i felt the crusades setting was perfect, if they have all the improvments of ac2 and acb then this will be a brilliant game coz there is more the developers can do regarding story plot than acb.
