He might be killing redcoats because he is allied with George Washington. In the screenshot compilation video it shows connor beside George as they cross the big river(cant remember the name lol!!). Also, this might sound a little consiricy theoretic but what if the redcoats are allied with the Templars. I mean red crosses and redcoats. It is just a thought. I can back it up too because in one of the release videos when they are fighting in the prarie, the redcoat leader is wearing a Templar pendant.
