How about if the main character's name was Mandaragit? With this, it somehow carries a connotation of a hunter/bird-of-prey kind of assassin. If he needed a name to go by when he's not in assassin mode, I'd go with Simoun Guerrero (taken from Simoun of El Filibusterismo).
