Smeared? Just because she was a Templar doesn't mean her name was smeared. If you were in her position, you probably would've done the same. You cannot blame her for doing what she did, even though I feel bad for Clay, because she did not defect to the Templar's cause with the ambition of taking over the world, but because she wanted to care for people, in particular Desmond.
