Why oh why would they stick the explanation in the novel. Seriously Ubisoft, this kind of stuff needs to be explained in the game - you can't expect your audience to read all the side-media to get a complete grasp of how stuff works.

So what, pray tell, is the justification for Arno's ability to see the memories of his victims?
