I do believe on the 'imprinting' idea, but from a different direction. Though wrong because desmond is a special boy related to all. First idea- As we have it, who we've been following thus far have NOT had 1 child, and we've had other such subjects used in the Animus with their memories accessed. Memories which can be accessed for training purposes. At the beginning of ACII, Lucy has Desmond connect to the machine, accesses 16's files, syncs to the best matching memory, then they make their escape. Lucy then asks Desmond to help them and train to become an assassin through the Animus, he agrees. SO! Said memories of Ezio's were originally from 16's stored memory, Desmond is just reliving them for training, meanwhile discovering items with Animus 2.0 not found before with the Animus 1.0. Had this whole Desmond is the descendant of Altair, descendant of Adam; 16, Ezio, Eve. Thus the line of "Find Eve" and would need to find another of such linage, and would explain why Desmond holds himself more like Altair than he does Ezio, tho he being his current main mentor. Second; Was the Apple, if the Animus idea was way out there. But, the video blows both out the window. Nice thought while it lasted.
