No it doesn't. Your Grandfather (on your mother's side) is not related to your Grandfather (on your Father's side), but, are related by marrige, through your mother and father....and so you are blood relatives to both....but they are not, to eahc other

SO altair and Ezio are both blood relatives to Desmond.....but they are not, to each other
