thats F*cked. Desmond has all of his skills direct from both of them, and Ezio from altair. you even see that Ezio has altair's old syrian sword, supposedly only handed down through his family, while trying to stop the execution of Giovanni. and then he has altairs family heirloom armor, and his self crafted sword, another heirloom. and anyway, they would end up related due to a marriage or relationship, or else Desmond would not be able to access their memories. it would make much more sense to have them related.
