OK here is my opinion on all of this... I still believe they are related and here's why: First and foremost, they all share eagle vision, an INHERITED TRAIT. Mcdevitt is contradicting the series left and right here and I cant stand it. He claims in the above video that everyone has the potential for eagle vision locked away in them because we were created by those who came before. That's pure bull shit... Yes it is true we were created by those who came before as revealed in the glyphs and at the end of AC2, however Juno explicitly states in ACB that they deliberately kept the sixth sense(eagle vision) from us in order to be "safe". So Mcdevitt is clearly contradicting elements that already exist within the mythos with this video. His entire argument for them not being related rides on this contradiction of the AC universe he has made. The reason Altair, Ezio, and Desmond have eagle vision is because they are part of a bloodline that is a mixture of those who came before and normal humans, that is fact, nothing can change that. It could be that Altair and Ezio come from separate mixed bloodlines, but the fact remains they have that sixth sense because of that mixed, sort of demigod bloodline. To quote subject 16 from AC2 "Why do we have these ability's? Its in our BLOOD! So I still sharply disagree with this new writer and if Corey May really is agreeing with all these retcons this new guy is making, then I am shocked and disappointed that this, up till now, airtight story-line is suddenly seaming to fall apart and become disjointed.
