I'd love to see a link to where Patrice said that Altair and Ezio are related. Otherwise I can deal with the fact that they're not. Plus it only compounds on the fact that Desmond is the perfect genetic hybrid to wield the PoE's. Two bloodlines that can mentally resist the effects of as well as use the PoE's converge into to who Desmond is. Question is... Who are Desmond's parents? And what bloodlines are they a part of? Whose descendent will be in AC III? But if Patrice did say that they are, then I'm afraid that if there ever was a planned out story arc in the works before he left, the new creative director might not respect it as much. Then I'm really scared of how the series might turn out, let alone how good Revelations will or will not be.
