Redexx, Cello thinks a writer was responsible for the games going downhill and I think the games are just fine, ACR had a good setting unlike Brotherhood. Each individual gamer has an opinion. The reason for the yearly release is all "end of the world plotline in 2012". What's point of releasing a game sometime in 2013 with a story related 2012,? Not much i'm sure.
Also, there is more than one studio working on these games, this has made the yearly release a possibility..
