Actually, it sounds like this is Desmond's memories, with the exception of the last one, which is probably S17 communicating with him. Just Add Gin might refer to his becoming a bartender, Nine years alone would be the nine years he's been away from his family in the compound. The whole first bit seems to talk about him being taught about the assassins, his family disproving him, and him leaving. Desmond just got more interesting. Also he might have gone to Chicago first.
