Just to discourage anyone's remaining hopes for still believing Lucy's finger is cut: the Assassins already no longer cut their fingers by the Renaissance, let alone would they do it in modern times. During modern times, the Assassins wore rings on their ring finger with the Assassin insignia on it. Plus, if Lucy's finger was really cut, then it would be pretty clear to Abstergo she is an Assassin and they would already have had her killed.
