It's not just the poor admins who get insulted. As I was rewriting an article, I used the present tense as that was what the article was originally written in. Another user changed that to past tense: fine, I thought, the original article was wrong and I'll remember for next time. As I kept working I would lapse into the incorrect tense -- mea culpa, I'm only human. This same user who had previously simply been a copy editor delivered up the most condescending shouts ever to grace an edit log.

But then again, doesn't respect go both ways? After I'd performed some work on another article I asked if it was ready to shed the Assassify template. In front of the entire Talk page, the Issutorium guy announced my claim of editing the article was fraudulent. No remarks on how to improve the article, just an accusation of claim-hogging. When someone trusted with quality assurance shows no respect for others, what hope do the rest of us have?
