Yeah I noticed such as well. I'll admit, she looks more pleasant as a character but she doesn't look all that much like the Caterina we know from Assassin's Creed II. Personally I didn't think she sounded all too much like the same Caterina either, however that might just be me. I did get the feeling in the end of the sequence where she leaves for Forli that the conversation Ezio Auditore had with her was the last time he'd ever seen her (the background music and their words, not to mention her date of death clued me in on this).
