In AC 1 the targets were not religious, in fact they were strongly agaist it.

if you are trying to say that the Templars are not religious, some indeed are, any powerful tyrant can be religious too, do you think the Templars were not allow him to join their cause?

The villain does not need to be a Templar to be killed.

Savanarola was an awesome villain but i wished to know more about him before he got stabbed in the cheek.
