The American Revolution spanned several years, whereas the Sekigahara campaign was just a series of conflict spread over about a year, ending with the Battle of Sekigahara. If you mean that two factions on a major battlefield is a resemblance, then yes, but the reasons for the battle did not resemble those for the American Revolution.

Plus, the Battle of Sekigahara is only one battle. They can just as well end with the Honnoji incident, or have Akechi Mitsuhide be the antagonist and end with the Battle of Yamazaki.
