i think it makes sense for connor's targets to be mainly british.after all,the british are the most powerful force on the planet at the time.and who LOVES power?the templars.so of course there'd be a lot of templars on the british side,and not as many on the american side.but if you listen to him,connor really doesn't care about the war.just the templars in the war.and obviously he'll need information and help to kill some of these guys,well when it comes to british templars,he'd talk to the patriots,and vice versa.and american templars are most likely more subtle,like al mualim.
