Recording Desmond's sessions is an important part of the Animus so I doubt they'd (the Assassins) go with glasses. I'm thinking of some white/blue chair (as opposed to the white/red of the 2.0) with a catheter like the 2.0. Also I highly doubt they'd use the "Original" Animus as stated by Einsteinium because the UI says Animus 3.01 (the original Animus wouldn't have version numbers =P) and because it's highly probable that Desmond would be going through Connor's memories to figure out how to open the Grand Temple in the first place.
