We also discover from the video that someone, I think William, ordered Clay to be captured by Abstergo to become part of they Animus Project, find out as much as he could about it and then expected Lucy to help him escape. This plan failed unfortunately as Lucy, whose true allegiance was to the Templars, did not help Clay escape and instead he was experimented on for much longer than he anticipated before finally committing suicide. Wow :D
