I think Riddley Scott would be a good choice, because he has experience with historical dramas, such as gladiator and kingdom of heaven. Kingdom of Heaven even is set during the Third Crusade, so it would be perfect if the film took place in the same era. You would think so, but I do have my doubts whether they would go for Altaïr. I think there's a high chance they'll just go for a new assassin.
