Controversies? Barely. The writer never had a leg to stand on with his case; and the only people that noticed the case was those that actually look for info/articles about the games Patriots were killed just as much as Brits (And lets be honest, the ending really made the newly formed American government look shite and dishonourable. PETA try and have a say on anything to do with animals... and everyone effectively laughed at PETA for being stupid... especially after Ubi made 'em look that little more ridiculous with their response TBH, the whole female character thing kinda came from no where... we will always be playing as Arno (Just with one of 3 different faces when in someone else's game)... why would he suddenly change his gender during co op? Could a female lead have been used in this game (in replacement to Arno)? Maybe. I just really don't want them to throw a woman in for the sole purpose of shouting... "SEE A WOMAN!! WE ARE DIVERSE" that, to me shows a lack of it, that fact that a point is made to put a woman in just for that purpose of... being able to say it. If it works narratively... fine... but shoehorning? No. People are making mountains out of mole hills. :)
