Nice try, but no. It's been speculated that Al Mualim created an illusion to trick Altaïr, but there's nothing to confirm it; I'm pretty skeptical about it. Also, neither Altaïr or Al Mualim were seen to be holding the Apple in that scene. As for Ezio, it was his armor that saved him (as explicitly stated at the beginning of Brotherhood). And Rayne, we don't know what "find the sixth" means.
