Desmond becoming the Mentor would be a very cheap story-point, and it also wasn't that long since he was still escaping the Assassin life. I think it would be better if they simply don't touch that subject at all. Also, -S-, AC3 is set to end Desmond's story. I just hope they're sticking to that because some recent interviews made me have doubts about it...
