It will end showing the conflict will never end between the Templar and Assassin ideologies and this has been hinted at by Altair and Ezio at various times throughout the games. It is an Eternal Struggle. Will Earth be saved? Yes. Will Desmond live and become Mentor? Much remains in flux and we will have to wait and see ;)
