I kind of agree with you but I have no problems with stealth ranged weapons. What really concerns me are the firearms. Taking Black Flag as a notorious example, if you got into trouble you could just shoot the hell out of your enemies. Edward had 4 pistols, and that made the game extremely easy (in my opinion).
