Well, the Phaistos disc(s) show(s) up in the teaser for ACR before it was announced. And Ezio is viewing Altair's life through the Seals. I can only assume that the two are one and the same. But, also, what the Seals do is similar to what the Animi do, and since the Seals are TWCB tech, then, if the Animi are based off of the Seals, then the Animi would be based off of TWCB tech.
