Do we have official confirmation that the Trident is actually another PoE and not just another name for a Staff of Eden which looks like a trident? But, if we actually give it a thought, what actually is the similarity between the Papal staff and the Tsar's staff aside from the powers and being called the Staff of Eden?

For all intents and purposes, the Trident of Eden could very well be considered another Staff of Eden seeing how it shares its basic abilities and functionality. It's just that you can break it down into three separate prongs which is seemingly unique to the Trident just how being able to use the AoE in combination with the Papal staff is unique to it and is not possible for the Tsar's staff or other Staves of Eden.
