Mi point of view: Abstergo launched a VR game console based on the Animus Omega, but, obviously the player could not use the Animus to relieve his ancestor's memories, instead, Abstergo encouraged the player to sumbit their DNA to the nearest Abstergo subsidiary to see if the player had any actual useful memories. Then Abstergo launched Helix, a software to the VR Console (Said by Darby). I think that's it.
