That's the thing, you're NOT helping him. I mean, well, you are. Uh, let me explain.

I've read the comments, and it seems that you guys are just telling him to get better edits, without even telling him how. The comment below me directed Dan to a page, in which he can know what you guys are looking for in an edit. However, if I was a new user, I would have no idea where that would be. You guys need to be specific, maybe provide a link, and don't tell him to get better, tell him how. ~OHF
