"You know the Borgia Towers? You don't have that but you have something that's an evolution of that, you have something that's an evolution of city improvement, and all of that's consolidated in the Assassin's Dens."
―OXM[[src]]

Assassin Dens were newly introduced in Constantinople and replaced the Borgia Towers from Rome.

Assassins' Dens had a similar concept to Borgia Towers, but with a larger variety. Ezio Auditore could retake the Dens from Byzantine Templars in Constantinople with different battle tactics. However, as his Notoriety level rose, the Templars started retaking the Dens, leaving Ezio with the options of leading a direct assault, or sending Apprentices to take care of it for him.

Ezio could also select Master Assassins to guard the Dens for him so the Templars could not retake them, regardless of his Notoriety level.

Trivia

  • Retaking a den will increase the amount of ziplines in the district.
  • It has been stated by Alexandre Amancio during an interview with GameReactor.tv that Assassin Dens will play an integral part in the development and creation of Ezio's bombs.
