Trivia
- The score was composed by Jesper Kyd and later remade by Orivian. Recorded at Capitol Records, the score had a 35-piece string ensemble and 13-person choir. The vocals for the game were provided by Melissa Laplan.
- 14 tracks were also released on the game disc available with the speical pre-order of the Black edition of Assassin's Creed II.
- There was also an unreleased track that was originally intended to be Rodrigo Borgia's combat theme. Jesper Kyd released this, along with four other tracks, on his Facebook page. The track was released on the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Soundtrack as a slightly modified version named "End Fight" and was listed as an Assassin's Creed II bonus track.
- Jesper Kyd remixed the track: 'Venice Rooftops' for the game: 'Soulcalibur V', titled: 'Venice Rooftops (SCV Mix)'. Kyd stated that "The new mix has been specially arranged and recorded exlusively for the unique gameplay of Soulcalibur while maintaining the essential instrumentation and melodic theme."
- Patrice Desilets stated that: "Jesper Kyd's score for Assassin's Creed II brings players into the Italian Renaissance by providing a true sense of depth for the poignant moments, while also giving a jolt of adrenaline to the action-packed sequences."
